Maui developments are marching along, and the redevelopment of The Outlets of Maui in Lahaina is now complete. Located behind Front Street’s Hard Rock Café, the renovated area needed some updating, and now visitors and residents alike can enjoy the improvements.

If you’re wondering how much those improvements will stand out, the process came with a price tag $28 million. That should prepare you for how dramatic these changes are. If you used to frequent the area in times past, then the difference will be obvious. The new version of this Lahaina property is 91 percent leased, and the developers expect more retailers to sign in the next two months. The current retailers are Michael Kors, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Coach, Izod, Lucky Brand, Brooks Brothers, Carter’s, Banana Republic, Gap, Adidas and Sketchers. The center also encompasses Hard Rock Café, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Hilo Hattie, ABC Stores and Warren & Annabelle’s.

This is one of many improvements in Maui’s retail scene that speak volumes about the economy as a whole. Those desirable brands are certainly going to facilitate a lot of visitor spending and continue to cultivate Lahaina’s popularity. Keeping track of each change in the West Maui development landscape is a good way to predict what its going to look like years down the road.
