Did you know Lahaina used to be Hawaii’s capital? Well, it’s true and you can learn fun facts such as these during your walk down Front Street. Also, make sure to check out the Banyan Tree Park where there’s an 8-foot banyan tree that was a gift from missionaries in India and was planted in 1873. Since it was first planted, it’s grown to nearly 60-feet and covers two-thirds of an acre. On any given night you can enjoy the sounds of local musicians playing underneath the Banyan Tree and watch as the sunsets in the distance.
